Solutions Engineer_US Based

The Solutions Engineer supports the pre-sales process through client needs analysis, business process requirement gathering and the design of customized solutions.  She/he partners with Sales, Information Systems and Delivery Services to develop services that meet client expectations.  Additionally, the Solutions Engineer performs ongoing process analysis across programs to determine best practices, and leverages this knowledge in development of new services and opportunities to expand offerings within current client base.  The Solutions Engineer will apply Sales, Process and Project Management and Lean Six Sigma Methodologies in his/her role to drive results and improvements.


  • Provide pre-sales support by working with sales to identify and qualify opportunities and conduct feasibility analysis
  • Provide pre-sales support by conducting needs analysis for new business opportunities 
  • Define program goals and objectives 
  • Build program metrics based on client goals
  • Work with client on data files and additional business requirements needed to support program implementation
  • Develop standardized client reporting to reflect program successes and  opportunities
  • Create solutions that addresses client’s needs in terms of Cost, Quality, Delivery and Return on Investment 
  • Lead cross-selling and service enhancement activities within existing client base 
  • Develop documentation for all opportunities including: needs analysis form, solution presentations, process flows and statements of work 
  • Co-ordinate and support medium and large scale RFP (Request for Proposal) and RFQ’s (Request for Quote) including solution design, pricing and formal response/presentations  
  • Coordinate communications during the presales process leading the successful execution of SOW 
  • Provide ongoing support to new programs during the implementation phase 
  • Make recommendations for innovations and improvements based on analysis of Client needs
  • Interact closely with all departments within the organization across multiple sites        Support Current State Assessments


  • 5+ years experience in Sales, Sales Engineering, Sales, Account Management, Business Process

Development and Improvement and/or Client Services

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to develop and apply expertise across multiple verticals and industries 
  • “Can do” attitude, self-starter, and coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders to achieve goals 
  • Ability to work with limited and vague information from time to time and translate it into a feasibility analysis/go no-go business decision  
  • Candidates with a Sales, Sales Operations or client facing background will be preferred 
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt desired, or required certification within 12 months
  • Process Engineering & Data Analysis
  • Proficient in MS Office Tools – (Specifically PowerPoint, Visio and Excel)
  • Proficient in Project Management Methodology 
  • Excellent Written and Oral Communication
  • High degree of professionalism


  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day
  • Must be able to travel (up to 20% of the time)
  • Must possess sight/hearing/speech senses, or use aids that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
