Business Systems Analyst

Job Overview

The Business Systems Analyst serves as the major conduit among sales, operations and the application development teams. They are responsible for understanding business problems and needs, determining solutions, and translating those solutions into development requirements and process changes. They will ensure that the solution designs solve the business problems, generating and finalizing business requirements specifications, creating test plans and driving test cycles, validating development deliverables and facilitating production releases.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

 

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand the business needs for new program implementations and the re-engineering of existing programs.
  • Analyze and design solutions that include new and changed application functionality, and process changes.
  • Perform data mapping at both the data element and data element value levels between client and OnProcess systems.
  • Create and provide requirements for developers via process mapping, pseudo code, and functional specification documentation for schema changes, business rules, configuration changes, general functional requirements, interfaces, security considerations, and CRM considerations.
  • Coordinate and facilitate Sanity test (user acceptance and integrated process testing) to ensure application functionality matches the desired client business requirement.
  • Being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to handle projects individually.
  • Work with developers to successfully execute application delivery with aggressive timelines to business owners
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day application failures, real-time change management requests, and other data operations anomalies

 

Qualifications

 

  • Basic knowledge of ERP and CRM systems, such as SAP, SFDC
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL queries, JIRA, manual testing.
  • Practical application ability with Microsoft Office and Visio to document functional, non-functional, and technical requirements.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated Planning, organizing and multi-tasking abilities
  • Understanding of application programming, system design, and database design.
  • 4-5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in a supply chain environment.
  • Knowledge of SDLC and Agile development methodologies
  • This position may sometimes require long, flexible hours
  • This job operates in a professional office environment, currently WFH
