Come see 32 men and women who live in Greater Boston compete to knock out each other and cancer. Sponsored by the non-profit Haymakers for Hope, the amateur boxers are raising money for cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and other organizations. Since its inaugural event in 2011, Haymakers for Hope has raised more than $6 million.
What: “Haymakers for Hope Rock ‘N Rumble” charity boxing event
Why: Haymakers is hoping to raise more than $500,000 at this Boston event. And with all the boxers and their supporters fighting hard, and for such a good cause, it promises to be an exhilarating night.
When: Thursday, May 18, 2017. Doors open at 6:30pm. Bouts begin at 7:30pm.

Who: Mike Wooden, CEO of OnProcess Technology, is one of 32 local amateurs competing. All participants received four months of boxing training for this, their first amateur, sanctioned boxing match. Mike fights hard for his causes and has been involved with charities of all types, but nothing beats Haymakers for Hope. On May 18th, he will be dedicating the fight of his life to loved ones who are battling cancer today. Check out Mike’s training video to learn more.
