In the dispatch project that earned OnProcess a spot in the Top 100, OnProcess used advanced analytics to evaluate the client’s post-sales service operations, focusing on global parts and labor dispatch, and transportation cost analyses. OnProcess found that less than 34% of same-day shipments were actually utilized same day. OnProcess also automated 80% of the largely manual dispatch process, including identifying warehouses with needed parts in stock, selecting the part and sourcing the right engineering support personnel for the service event. Using a proactive pre-call process with end customers, OnProcess determined whether same-day SLAs were appropriate and field engineer assistance required. The result was a significantly optimized process and $21+ million in annual savings.
